Google Wants Users To Be The Ones To Name The Next Android Version

In a recent Q&A session at Delhi University, Google’s Chief Executive Sundar Pichai revealed that after its in-house generated Android Marshmallow name, the software giant may begin collecting name suggestions for Android from users, possibly via polls.

During the #AskSundar Q&A session (47:11), he was asked why
there’ve been no Indian sweets on Android’s name list, Pichai replied saying he’ll ask his mother for ideas and the next time the company’s working on a new OS iteration (Android N), they could open an online poll to get suggestions, which might favour one of India’s sweet names.
